I'm reading all your posts with such envy...you're going to have such a great time while my poor B remains in the sick bay and the bills mount up. Never mind, hopefully next year there'll be a new thread "SECOND Annual B Out West Social." Have fun everyone!

This may not belong here except for the reference to the Oregon coast (simply gorgeous). I've just returned from my first real trip in my PW which I bought last August. Phoenix to Lake Powell, Zion, Bryce, Grand Tetons, Yellowstone including Bear Tooth Pass, Glacier National Park, Northern Cascades Highway, up to Coquitlam in BC, the Olympic Peninsula, and then down the coast on Hwy 1 to Los Angeles and over to Phoenix. Had some hiccups along the way...had to replace the water pump and the refrigerator, buy a new tire in Bellingham, endure water tank leaks, and then my dash A/C went out the day I left LA so had to wait until dusk to set off across the desert! Finally I had a major tire blowout around 10 p.m. near Blythe, zig zagging all over the road (OK,I probably shouldn't have put my foot on the brake but I'm a rookie and panic took over!), leaving me facing in the wrong direction. The fact that nothing was coming behind me at the moment is simply by the grace of God and I'm grateful to be here to tell the tale. What a fabulous trip though...it put almost 6,300 miles on my Pleasure Way and (almost)every single one of them is a treasured memory.

I was the one who offered to get the treats and the netting, and JulieV, you and I are going to be putting them together (remember...two little "old" ladies...!) prior to the event. When we have a final count, can I have a male/female count too?

I thought we had already agreed on a costume contest for the dogs, although it hasn't been slotted into the "program." Check the conversation around Feb 22 . . . it's going to be a riot!

Yes, I'm looking just for in front of the driver & passenger seats. I did go to the Dodge van places but the configuration of the PW isnt the same as the original van. The passenger side is really narrow and an odd shape. Thanks for your help...I'm getting it ready for a trip to your part of the world!

Floor Mats for '99 Pleasure Way
Help! Just spent an hour going from Pleasure Way themselves to Lund International to Nifty Products to half a dozen retailers . . . but can't find replacement floor mats anywhere. Any suggestions other than having them custom made? And if that IS the only way, any suggestions where to go?

Hey, a chance suggestion turns into what'll probably be the highlight of the rally!!! I love it. I'll bring the netting and the ribbon...and some doggie treats. This is going to be GREAT! Count Waggie Thatcher in.

I am so glad I finally came back to the forums today after neglecting it for quite a while. Julie, thanks so much for planning this rally! I just called and reserved a space and you have 33 signed up as of today...wow! Just got back from a week trying out campgrounds up the coast from San Diego to Huntington Beach...each one overlooking the ocean. Great trip and I'm getting to be quite a pro now. Really looking forward to meeting everyone in October.
